The green 'blade' sections make up either side of the stressed carbon fibre monocoque chassis. This concept was inspired by the groundbreaking Lotus 25 Formula 1 car which revolutionised motor sport by using its engine as a stressed member.

Land Rover design cues are visible in the Evoque 'blade' shapes in the wheel spokes and the 'floating roof' graphic in the headrest. The surface language also echoes that of recent Land Rovers, specifically in the sense that it was almost milled from a solid billet of metal.
